We are but glorious dust
Frail creatures, yet crowned with glory
Ever struggling, ever failing
Yet You write us into Your story
And You meet our need for help
Through the victory of Your Son
That glorious dust we could become
As on this earth we journey on
Sometimes blinded by pride and pain
May You faithfully remind us
That our struggle is not in vain
And in every circumstance
We know our good is in Your plan
That more like You we may become
Now we await that glorious day
When at last Christ shall return
Bringing with Him a new Jerusalem
Where forever with Him we'll dwell
And in the beauty of His light
Every wrong shall be made right
And one with You we will become
Frail creatures, yet crowned with glory
Ever struggling, ever failing
Yet You write us into Your story
And You meet our need for help
Through the victory of Your Son
That glorious dust we could become
As on this earth we journey on
Sometimes blinded by pride and pain
May You faithfully remind us
That our struggle is not in vain
And in every circumstance
We know our good is in Your plan
That more like You we may become
Now we await that glorious day
When at last Christ shall return
Bringing with Him a new Jerusalem
Where forever with Him we'll dwell
And in the beauty of His light
Every wrong shall be made right
And one with You we will become
